MECCHA CHAMELEON proves that hide-and-seek gets a lot more interesting when everyone can become part of the scenery. Instead of hiding behind a wall and hoping nobody checks your corner, you'll grab a paintbrush, copy the colors around you, and try your best to convince everyone that you've always been a perfectly normal fence... or maybe a suspiciously handsome flower pot. It's goofy, unpredictable, and full of those "Wait... was that there before?" moments.

Players are divided into two teams for each game: the Hiders and the Seekers.
If you're on the Hider team, you begin as a plain white character, which isn't exactly the definition of stealth. Before the hunt starts, you can paint yourself to match nearby objects and build your own disguise. The perfect paint job won't save you if you're hiding in the world's most obvious spot. A smart location is just as important as matching the right colors.
Sometimes blending into a wooden fence is enough. Other times you'll need to copy the bright colors of playground equipment or tuck yourself beside a wall that nobody bothers to inspect. Staying still is often the hardest part. One tiny movement at the wrong moment can ruin an otherwise perfect hiding place.
Playing as a Seeker is just as entertaining.
Rather than sprinting through the map, you'll need to slow down and pay attention to the little things. Is that box facing the wrong direction? Did that decoration move a second ago? Why does that rock suddenly look nervous?
The best Seekers don't rely on luck. They learn the maps, remember common hiding spots, and notice details that other players completely miss. Spotting a well-hidden opponent always feels satisfying, especially after checking the same corner three different times.
One of the best things about MECCHA CHAMELEON is that each map changes the way you play.
Some areas are packed with colorful props, making camouflage much easier. Others are more open, forcing Hiders to be creative instead of simply disappearing into a crowd of objects. Indoor rooms, fences, furniture, walls, playgrounds, and decorative items all become potential hiding spots.
Even after dozens of matches, familiar maps can surprise you because different players come up with completely different hiding ideas.
No two matches ever play out the same way. Someone always invents a ridiculous hiding spot that somehow works, while another player gets caught because they blinked at the worst possible moment. Whether you're fooling your friends with clever camouflage or trying to expose a suspicious-looking "bench," MECCHA CHAMELEON delivers a lighthearted multiplayer experience where creativity usually beats speed - and where even a flower pot can become the hero of the match.
