Soyjak Siege is one of those games that can get out of control in a matter of seconds. You'll start a run feeling comfortable, picking off a few enemies and collecting experience. Then a bigger group appears. Then another. Before long, the entire screen is packed with strange creatures, flying attacks, and very little room to breathe.
You are Chud, a fighter traveling through the strange world of Shartaia. His goal? To find out what happened to the missing Gems, and to stop Dr. Soystein before things get any worse. The story stays in the background most of the time, letting the action take center stage, which honestly feels like the right choice for a game like this.
More Enemies Than You Expect
The challenge grows quickly. Early stages give you room to move around and learn the basics, but that doesn't last forever.
Each new area has tougher enemies and more people. Some opponents charge directly at you. Some attack from afar, keeping you on the move at all times. Standing still is rarely a good idea. In fact, it's usually the reason a run ends.
Shartaia contains sixteen different locations, and each one adds a little more pressure than the last.
Building a Strong Character
As enemies fall, they drop experience. Leveling up lets you choose upgrades that improve your build.
This is where a lot of the fun comes from. Perhaps you’ll find a weapon combo that can wipe out entire groups of enemies in seconds, or build a character that can survive longer battles. There is a variety of weapons to unlock, and they all don't play the same. Some are good against crowds, others are better against bosses.
Spells and consumable items add even more options when things become difficult.
The Bosses Change Everything
Normal enemies are dangerous. Bosses are something else entirely.
These fights fill the screen with projectiles and force you to pay attention to every movement. Winning isn't just about damage. Dodging at the right moment and recognizing attack patterns are often more important.
A boss can eliminate an unprepared player very quickly, which makes every victory feel satisfying.
How to Play
Survive enemy waves, earn experience, and keep improving your character.
Defeat enemies to gain levels and unlock upgrades. Strong upgrade combinations make later stages much easier to handle. Keep moving through each area, avoiding damage and defeating powerful bosses as you go.
