Last Light: Out of the Lab
Last Light isn't exactly the kind of place you'd choose for a weekend getaway. You're trapped in a dangerous laboratory; zombie-like creatures are roaming the halls, and finding the exit is easier said than done. This 2D side-scrolling survival game puts you in charge of your own escape. You'll need to search for supplies, defend yourself, and make the best of whatever resources you can find. A nice cup of tea would help, too, but don't count on finding one.
Have a Nose Around
The laboratory is full of places to investigate. Keep moving, look for weapons, useful items, and possible escape routes. Search the map and spend a bit of time gathering any supplies that might help you out of a jam.
No need to charge into every room, though. Watch your step. You may run into trouble when you least expect it. If things look a little risky, there's no harm in turning back and trying again later. Curiosity is a good thing. Not when you're eating zombies' lunch!
Bullets Don't Grow on Trees
Your firearm is important, but ammunition is limited. Think twice before pulling the trigger. Ammo is precious, and not every zombie deserves a bullet. Besides, an empty gun makes a pretty terrible backup plan when the undead come knocking!
You'll also need to use of coins, electricity, time, and other items sensibly. You can use coins to buy gear and defenses, so think carefully before spending them all at once. A piece of gear might look tempting, but will it help with the problems you're actually facing?
Sometimes you'll need to spend. Sometimes you'll need to wait. Learning which choice makes sense is part of surviving Last Light.
Spend Your Coins Wisely
Weapon upgrades can give you a better chance against tougher enemies. Upgrading your firearm is good, but timing is key. If you upgrade too soon, you may be short on supplies for something else.
Before you decide, take a moment to consider what equipment and resources you have left. You don't need the fanciest weapon in the laboratory. You need one that helps you survive.

Search the lab for useful gear, dodge a few hungry zombies, and find the exit before you become the day's special.

Last Light mixes action with survival strategy, so quick reactions alone won't carry you through. Keep an eye on your supplies, choose your fights, and upgrade your weapons when it makes sense. The laboratory may be full of unpleasant surprises, but you've got one advantage: you can still think ahead. Use of well, and that exit might be within reach.
