Shell Survivor is what happens when a potato gets weapons and absolutely refuses to become alien lunch. This top-down roguelike shooter drops you into a monster-infested graveyard, where your best bet is to keep moving and avoid becoming alien dinner. Survive 20 waves, build a stronger arsenal, and take on the final boss. Sounds easy enough, right? Just wait until the aliens start showing up in ridiculous numbers.

The idea is simple: stay alive. The execution? Well, that's where things get messy.
The aliens keep coming, and each new wave makes survival a little harder. Your weapons attack automatically, so you don't need to worry about aiming. Instead, you'll spend most of your time dodging enemies, grabbing dropped materials, and looking for a safe path through the chaos.
Materials are useful for more than just shopping. Collect enough to level up, then pick one of four random stat upgrades. You might also find healing fruit or crates containing random items. If your health bar is looking a little sad, those pickups are worth chasing.
A good weapon can save your run. A great combination can make you feel almost invincible — until something proves otherwise.
Shell Survivor lets you equip up to six weapons, including guns, blades, and explosives. Between waves, visit the shop to buy new gear and items. Press Q to refresh the shop's offers, or use E to lock an item you want to save for later.
Have two identical weapons of the same tier? Merge them into a stronger version. Keep upgrading until you reach tier 4 and give those aliens something to worry about.
With 17 playable characters, 56 weapons, and 136 items to explore, there's always something new to try. Add seven difficulty levels and Endless Mode, and you'll have plenty of reasons to return for another run.
The controls are easy to pick up, even when the arena gets crowded.
| Control | Action |
|---|---|
| WASD / Arrow Keys | Move around and dodge enemies |
| Mouse | Navigate menus and select upgrades |
| Q | Reroll shop offers |
| E | Lock an item for later |
| Tab | Check character stats |
| Esc | Pause the game |
| Weapons | Aim and fire automatically |
Don't stand still unless you enjoy being surrounded. Keep moving, grab materials whenever it's safe, and upgrade your weapons whenever you can. Damage is important, but a little extra health or defense can save you from an ugly ending.
And remember, the shop is your friend. Spend wisely, merge matching weapons, and don't buy something just because it looks cool.
