Donut Clicker begins with a donut. Just one. It sits there looking delicious, and your job is to click it until your bakery has enough donuts to start making money. At first, you’re doing all the work yourself. A little clicking here, a little clicking there, and suddenly you can afford your first producer. From that point on, the bakery starts doing some of the heavy lifting for you.

Start by clicking the large donut in the middle of the game. Every click adds to your donut supply, so keep clicking until you’ve saved enough to buy your first upgrade.
Your first producers are important because they introduce automatic production. Once you have a few buildings, they’ll keep producing donuts in the background, so you won’t have to do all the clicking yourself. As your total grows, more producers become available. They cost more, naturally, but the extra production can make saving for the next purchase much easier.
There’s no need to rush into every purchase. Sometimes it makes sense to spend your donuts right away, while other times saving for a more useful producer is the better move. Keep an eye on your production rate and decide what will help your bakery grow fastest.
The game also gives you Goals and Awards to chase. These milestones give you something to work toward besides simply making the biggest number possible. Check them regularly - you may be closer to an achievement than you think.
Playing on a computer? Left-click the big donut to produce donuts. Use the same mouse button to purchase buildings and upgrades or select things in the menus.
On a phone or tablet, tap the donut to produce. Tap buildings, upgrades, and menu buttons to make purchases or explore different parts of the game.
That’s all you need. Your fingers can handle the training.
Not everything is about production. The Skins menu lets you change several parts of your donut, including the dough, glaze, and drizzle. You can combine different choices to make a donut that looks completely different from the one you started with.
You can also collect seasonal designs to give your donut a fresh look. Spooky Sprinkles brings some Halloween fun, while Gobble Glaze has an autumn feel. Sunshine Glaze adds a brighter look, and Frosty Flurries is ready for winter.
Click often during the early part of the game. Those first few purchases can make a noticeable difference. Once automatic production is bringing in donuts steadily, let your buildings do more of the work and start saving for stronger producers.
Goals, Awards, and Stats are worth checking now and then, too. They’re an easy way to see what you’ve accomplished and what you can tackle next.
Donut Clicker keeps things pleasantly simple: click a donut, buy a little help, make more donuts, and repeat. It’s basically a bakery that never closes - and fortunately, none of the staff seem to need sleep.
